What Is involved in being a Representative?
- Elected representatives are expected to join at least one RSG sub-committee in order to actively take part in graduate student life at our University. These sub-committees report back to the main RSG body for votes and support. See the Committees section for a list of active committees and their current make-up. Any elected representative can create and staff a new sub-committee as they see fit.
Can I become involved without running for office?
- Yes. RSG sub-committees, with the exception of the Budgetary Committee, may be staffed, and even chaired, by non-RSG members. In addition, we have non-voting, associate member positions available. These positions are earned by attending three of our regularly scheduled board meetings. Associate representatives are considered for appointment to full-voting seats (if available) following continued participation in RSG.
